The work
I design at the system level.
That means looking past the screen in front of me to the platform, the service, and the business it sits inside, then connecting those layers into something that actually works for the people using it.
Currently I'm a Staff Product Designer at Intuit, where I lead end-to-end design for SalesTech and serve as the strategic AI design advisor across Sales and Customer Success. My work spans Concierge (the lead-to-expert engagement system influencing 53% of conversions and supporting ~5,500 daily calls), the Virtual Expert Platform, and broader Sales and CS initiatives. The throughline is using AI as a design material to connect workflows, data, and customer journeys into platform-level systems.
Before Intuit, I led experience design across four universities and five affiliates at National University System, focused on top-of-funnel UX and lead generation. Earlier, I cut my teeth at agency work on e-commerce and B2B platforms. The common thread across every chapter: I'm at my best when I can shape direction, not just deliver pixels.
I'm currently exploring Senior Staff and Staff Product Designer roles where I can shape strategic direction, build AI-native experiences, and help design grow into a real business partner.
A little sizzle …
This sizzle reel captures just how much we've accomplished lately, and I'm proud to have played a big part in it. From vision to execution, I've had my hands in some exciting work lately. It's been a wild, rewarding ride, and this is just a glimpse of what we've built.
Outside of work
I'm a proud dad of three energetic boys and a dedicated Duck fan (Go Oregon!). Most weekends you'll find me at a T-ball field or trying to keep up with whatever the kids are into this month. I stay close to the San Diego design community through SD Design Trek, SDXD, UX Speakeasy, and other local meetups.
Back in the day, I was a freelance photographer for the Union-Tribune, which sharpened my eye for detail and storytelling. Tech runs through my veins thanks to my A.A. in Telecommunications. I still build computers, troubleshoot IT puzzles, and geek out over hardware.
On the creative side, I drum in a jam band with old colleagues, which keeps the rhythm (and sanity) alive. And for a bit of intergalactic fun, I'm part of the 501st Legion, the infamous "bad guys who do good" of Star Wars cosplay. Creativity and community come in a lot of shapes... and galaxies.

Staff Product Designer with 15+ years in design, most recently leading AI-native platform work at Intuit. At Intuit, I lead design for the Virtual Expert Platform, an in-house platform that powers expert and support experiences across every major Intuit business unit. Unlike a typical product team, VEP requires working both vertically on features and horizontally across the company, designing every capability to be durable, reusable, and scalable across millions of customer interactions. I work best at the intersection of product, strategy, and systems thinking, turning complex cross-functional problems into platform-level solutions.
Staff Product Designer
- Lead designer for Concierge, the lead-to-expert engagement system that influences 53% of conversions and supports 5,500 daily inbound and outbound calls, contributing to $250M in revenue. Shaping end-to-end strategy across multiple releases and driving future-state direction toward an AI-native platform.
- Led the agentic AI Tier-1 to Tier-2 support redesign, delivering a 40% YoY reduction in escalations and 24% deflection through gen-AI self-help.
- Led E2E design for the migration of 30,000+ TurboTax product support experts from Salesforce to Intuit's own native platform, handling 4M+ customer contacts (+42% YoY) with a 5% reduction in Average Handle Time and +1.1 tNPS.
- Led experience design for bringing self-help and support capabilities into the Credit Karma consumer app, including a digital assistant, contact and routing flows, and debit card support such as transaction disputes, resulting in Credit Karma committing to move forward starting with the Contact Us strategy.
- Authored a set of durable design principles adopted across teams as a shared decision-making framework, paired with a design pattern library and custom AI validators to check work against the principles.
- Co-lead a weekly design crit forum as interaction craft lead across a 70+ designer org, improving pattern consistency, reducing revision cycles by roughly a third, and mentoring 7 designers, 2 of whom converted from contractor to full-time.
- Built service design blueprints and user journeys for QuickBooks (IES) Mid-Market customers, pre-GA.
- FY2026 pulse check across 14 cross-functional partners landed at a 96.3 NPS.
Senior Product Designer
- Design leader across Virtual Expert Platform initiatives, building platform-level AI-assisted workflows.
- Design leader for Accelerate the Platform (Credit Karma) across CUI, search, messaging, community, and live expert access.
- Designed Smart Expert Recommendations (SER), a persistent panel that surfaces the right product recommendation to the expert at the right moment, driving $60M+ in YoY revenue growth and used by all 60,000+ experts.
- Led the case to get custom components into Intuit's enterprise design system (IDS), partnering with the IDS team to build them out and publishing them to the shared library for company-wide reuse.
- UX lead on the native Intuit-built chat capability that replaced Amazon Connect, designing the UI and features needed to reach parity, eliminating license costs and enabling easier integration.
Interaction Designer III
- Designer for the Virtual Expert Platform across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Mint, and Intuit Accountants.
- Owned E2E design strategy for out-of-product help, unifying dozens of dispersed help sites across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp into a single help platform personalized per business unit.
- Led experience design bringing self-help and support into the Credit Karma consumer app, including IVR/IVA voice design for credit and debit card support, a digital assistant, and dispute flows.
Lead UX Designer

- Simplified National University's 14-step application into a 3-step mobile-first experience (App-Lite), driving a 21.5% YoY increase in new leads.
- Redesigned program pages and introduced a tuition calculator, boosting engagement up to 97% across top programs.
Interactive Designer II
- Designed E2E experiences across e-commerce and B2B platforms, driving measurable results including 73% more leads and 188% more sessions for a solar client and a 55% improvement in site load time for a tech client.
- Recognized by Graphic Design USA with American Web Design and Health + Wellness Design awards for client work.
